Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Dance, Full-time faculty position beginning fall of 2025. A qualified candidate will have a proven track record both professionally and pedagogically in the areas of dance and musical theatre, teaching a range of dance styles utilized on the Broadway stage (may include but not limited to): Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballroom, Partnering, with a strong emphasis on building technique and providing choreographic combinations in class for the actor throughout their four years of training. Must have experience teaching a wide range of skill levels in the same class and are also versed in somatic practice such as Yoga, Pilates, dance conditioning and strength training are highly desirable. In addition to teaching Dance, other areas of instruction include choreographing and/or directing productions as called upon for the 3rd and 4th year performance schedule.

The qualified candidate will possess a master's degree in the teaching discipline or related field, or equivalent professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Prior professional musical theatre performing and choreographic experience required. Must have knowledge and familiarity with musical theatre canon, including both classic and contemporary musical theatre work and demonstrated record of success in teaching multiple levels of dance training.
